We booked this hotel as it had a very late cancellation option and there is secure parking.

The receptionist staff at arrival and departure were very profession and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Bad: It’s a long way from anywhere if you want a meal in the evening and don’t want to drive. There’s a supermarket about a 15 minute walk away.

Good for road trip travelers

Parking is just 2€ a night, friendly administration, comfortable beds, close to the autoban. Great choise if you are traveling by car and are looking for somewhare to spend the night. Bad: The room could use some thorough cleaning, there was some silverfish in the bathtub.

It proved to be perfect for an overnight stay during the trip

The accommodation, however, leaned towards the ordinary chain hotel style. Despite this, the bathtub provided a welcome respite after the long journey, offering a satisfying and enjoyable experience. The room, while following a standard layout, stood out with its generous size, cleanliness, and a notably comfortable bed, making the stay more pleasant and relaxing. Bad: The stay at the hotel adhered to the typical and somewhat uninspiring chain hotel style, which, admittedly, did not align with my personal preferences. The standardization of design and amenities lacked the unique charm and character I often seek in accommodations. However, I anticipated this aspect given the familiar brand, understanding that the trade-off for predictability and convenience sometimes comes at the expense of individuality and distinctive features. Despite my preference for more distinctive lodgings, the experience was in line with what I expected from a chain hotel.

Pit Stop by the Autobahn

I drove from Sweden to the UK and needed a pit stop on the way. I have Diamond status with BW Rewards Member and therefore try to stay at BW Hotels when possible. This hotel fit the bill and I rewards points to pay for the stay. Location: very easy access from the Autobahn. There is plenty of parking available. Check in: quick and the lady who checked me in was friendly and helpful. Room: my room was on the third floor. I slipped on the door lock knob trying to lock the door and sliced open quite a deep wound on my eight index finger. Take care when locking the door as the spiky lock knob evidently is quite sharp. The lady in the reception gave me four bandaids. The room is of a good size, has a comfortable bed, a large TV with only one English language channel (news), an armchair, a work area, tea and coffee making facilities and a bathroom. I followed the instructions for the heating but I could not get it to work. I did not mention it to the hotel as the room may have been cooler than whatI prefer but it was not terribly cold. Wifi: the complimentary wifi was sufficient for my needs. Breakfast: the breakfast is not included and costs €11.50. It is a continental breakfast buffet with cereals, a few hot options, bread rolls, yoghurt, some fresh fruit, cheese etc. Overall: I would stay here again. The staff is great. The man who worked in the morning when I checked out was excellent and deserves a special mention. I do not remember his name but he had a double name and had studied biology.

Nice basic hotel, loud in-room airco

Nice but very basic hotel. Bad: Very loud airco in the room. Took some time to disconnect as noise was unbearable.

Overnight on way to Amsterdam

We chose the Best Western Achim Bremen for an overnight stay on our recent road trip from Vestfold, Norway, to Amsterdam. It was a good selection. The hotel is close to the freeway and easy to find. The check-in was quick and easy, the price for a room was very reasonable and the breakfast was more than adequate. We would definitely stay here again.

The front office staff - very helpful Bad: For those without cars, daily commutation would be difficult. The nearest train station is ~ 1.5 KM from the hotel; the nearest super market is ~ 1 KM
